This is a powerful and moving piece of writing by Sarah Miller about a young mother who is manipulated and drugged and ends up leaving her baby in a car on a night out. The script describes washing lines of clothes and we wanted to create the idea of someone drowning in washing and domestic drudgery. This was also a blank canvas for projection which I designed, including some creeping, animated ice. Lighting by Chris Whitword. Directed by Rachel Ashton for the Apprenticed Actors programme at The Ashton Group.
